Riding to Reduce: Biking at Pinole Shoreline
Interns from JFK loved riding bicycles at Pinole Shoreline. After their semester studying and assessing health, air quality, and transportation, it was great to get outside, get on a bicycle, and remember that biking is a great way to commute.
Students appreciated spending time at Pinole Shoreline, meeting cute dogs, watching people fish, and exploring an abandoned building.
Many students hadn’t ridden a bicycle in years, and were happy to remember how fun it is. This trip helped inspire one student to go ahead and fix his own bicycle and start riding it to school.
