Skyline interns partnered with San Lorenzo Earth Team and East Bay Regional Parks District for two weekend work days at Oyster Bay during the month of December.  The students took on a variety of activities and projects, and enjoyed making friends from other schools in the process.

In partnership with Friends of Sausal Creek, Skyline students spent the afternoon working at the Jingletown Native Plant Garden. The site, which FOSC maintains, is located along a wall of beautiful murals in Oakland’s Jingletown neighborhood. A short walk away, Sausal Creek makes its exit, draining into the Oakland Estuary near Fruitvale Bridge Park.

Skyline’s Waste Sorting Team is a collection of inspiring, hardworking seniors that are working together, with the support from Earth Team Waste Experts, to implement a sorting system on campus by June 2019. The team has been following Oakland Tech’s replication package and has found the resource to be extremely helpful.
